Join us for this fast-paced course where instructors Dan Purvine and Jerry Jones will teach you the important information you need to know to enhance the quality of A/E firm indirect cost rate audits. Using practical examples, they will explain the key steps in planning a risk-based indirect cost rate audit. They will cover key risk areas and how to perform an effective risk assessment, as well as factors that affect the
audit scope. The course will also include a review of FAR cost principles for allowability of compensation and noncompensation costs.
Topics covered will include identification of high risk accounts and stratification of large dollar or sensitive transactions, as well as appropriate testing for non-high risk accounts. The instructors will discuss the proper use of analytical procedures, audit sampling, evaluation of testing results, and recommended audit documentation to meet the requirements of the AASHTO Audit Guide CPA Workpaper
