Course Description:

A/E firm contracting with state and local agencies here in California, and the requirements to support your indirect cost rate, seem to get more challenging every year.

Join us in Orange County, California for this timely and informative course where instructor Dan Purvine will provide you the latest updates on key areas affecting A/E firm indirect cost rates and public sector contracts. Using an interactive approach, he will cover key risk areas related to developing indirect cost rates, including how to properly account for labor and compensation costs and how to evaluate costs for FAR allowability.

Topics will include treatment of uncompensated overtime, prevailing wage, and strategies to predict your overhead rate before year-end. Dan will also cover important financial documents required by Caltrans, and the status of ACEC California and Caltrans discussions on a range of topics. A discussion of local agency contracting and overhead related issues will help you to understand requirements and risks specific to contracting with local agencies in California.
