Don’t miss this web-based training in which instructor Dan Purvine will examine critical FAR issues related to non-labor costs that you need to understand to prepare your overhead rate.
Topics covered will include determining the proper classification of direct and indirect costs, and the development of home and field overhead rates. Dan will discuss the treatment of vehicle costs, and the proper classification of marketing and business development costs. He will also explain how to facilitate the DOT review and approval process, including the procedures to obtain a cognizant audit. Dan will provide guidance on how to document meal and travel costs to achieve maximum FAR allowability, and an overview of proposed changes to the AASHTO Audit Guide in the non-labor cost area.
A 10 question quiz will preceed the training, which must be passed at a 70% rate or higher to earn the CPE credit. Once the video has been downloaded, the training will be available for five days.
